January On My Mind...

I have had the initial design for the January JQC page done for some time now...Practically from the day I decided to do the challenge, but for some reason, every time I have gone in to work on it, I have shied away...Now I know why...My inner eye was not really satisfied with the piece of material for the background. I found a MUCH better piece today on the way home and I also got some glitter paint and some beads...Now I am RARING to get at this piece...Hopefully after work tomorrow...

Hello Suze, I found your blog by accident. I'm Mexican and I wanted to tell you that the correct spelling for snail in Spanish is "caracol". I hope you don't find it rude from me to correct this. I do so with the best intentions. It is nice of you to use a such a word :)

Wellll....what do you know! carAcol, not carIcol...sigh...I don't think I can change it at this late date...but thanks for the heads up! Another foreign (to me, that is) word thats just been 'Americanized"... inadvertently, I might add!

Actually if you go into settings, you can change the name of your blog but it would be a hassle to change the address. Since most people have you blogmarked or bookmarked, the address probably doesn't get looked at as often as the name. You could try it in settings and see what happens.

It's such a big wide wonderful world. And speaking of heads up, I found this "Caracol. This is a snail or curly swirl of hair at the back of the head. Also pronounced as "caricol" by garotos (kids). Anthropologists say that the Macanese are the only ethnic group whose children check out each other's caracol as a childhood ritual." here

Kim...Thanks...I can just pretend I am a Macanese kid and then its ok as Caricol!! (somehow it looks better as caricol anyway)
