Lookin' Out My Back Door

This is the view today out my back door, or it was a few minutes ago...Rainbows sure don't last very long...by the time I saw the rainbow and ran to get the digital, it had already faded by almost a half...California is in the grip of a wild rain storm system...If you watched the Rose Parade on TV earlier today, you saw it was very drippy! We have high wind advisories with up to 60 mph gusts and flood watches in nearly every county...there is even a tornado watch in a couple of the northern counties! Liquid Sunshine! And by the end of the week, we are supposed to be almost at 80 degrees again...

Suze, maybe the rainbow is a good omen for 2006. Or is this the Rainbow Bridge where your good dog is waiting?

Crazy weather here in Nashville too--70 degrees today! The pear trees in our subdivision are covered in buds. Went shopping until I couldn't take the heat in the stores--it was stifling. But it beats snow (or rather, ice, which is what we get) any day.

Beautiful photo, Suze. Rainbows are magical. My brother once flew a 4-seat plane toward a rainbow over the Hudson river in NY with my nephew & me along for the ride. The little 4 year old was very concerned that the rainbow would break if we flew through it and laughed with glee when we came round and saw it was still shining. I needed to remember the rainbow's promise of hope today. Thanks!
