Ode to the Artist Child

I wrote this in my morning pages a couple of days ago...

Housework and errands
Can wait til the morrow
For time slips away
We've learned to our sorrow
So quiet down Doubts
Problems, go far away
I'm coddling my Artist Child
Who's come out to play!

I love this.

I find myself smiling at the fact that while you said you didn't think this week was about time, your poem has that line about time slipping away and making a decision about how to spend it. (Or maybe I'm just projecting a little into the interpretation? ;-)

I always loved the original poem about rockin' baby! And I love this version, too!
