I am thinking of getting some of those buttons you cover with your own fabric and making buttons with a flower on them for the vest - otherwise I am thinking I need some pretty metal buttons...don't know if I will get to Joann's tomorrow or not - I hear they are having a great sale on batting and quilting notions on New Year's Day...

Beautiful! That wide red ribbon with the yellow and gold in it is luscious ... did you dye it?
Did not dye the ribbons - the store I went to has a luscious array of hand dyes though...but expensive!!! I figure this vest has probably set me back at least $70 for supplies not counting that the base fabric was FREE!
Your SRE looks wonderful - great job! Are you hooked now? =)
